CANDIDATE PROFILE:
Reporting to the Director of Information Technology (Business and Learning Services), the Manager of Learning and Business Technology Services is responsible for ensuring the effective use of technology across the district. This includes managing the Digital Equity program to provide equal access to technology for all students and staff, implementing provincially negotiated technology agreements, as well as overseeing the lifecycle of digital devices from procurement to decommissioning. The manager also ensures that all technology deployments adhere to district privacy and cybersecurity standards, safeguarding sensitive information and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.
Additionally, the Manager of Learning and Business Technology Services will implement AI to streamline processes while adhering to the district AI guidelines. This role involves optimizing workflows and improving operational efficiency through innovative technology use. The manager will also:
A minimum of 5 years of recent related experience coordinating IT teams and projects, or a degree in Computer Science or technical training from an IT training institution.
Recent, related experience must have occurred within the last 7 years and include delivering projects of significant scope and impact involving multiple stakeholders, seeing projects through the full life cycle, including change management.
