Education Assistant (Part-Time / Casual – Junior School, K–7)
Hours: Casual / On-Call (based on school needs)
Salary: $29-35/hour (based on experience and qualifications)
Start Date: September 8, 2026
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Education Assistants (EAs) to provide on-call support in our Junior School (Kindergarten to Grade 7) this upcoming 2026-27 school year. This role may also include short-term opportunities for consistent weekly coverage as needs arise.
This position offers an immediate opportunity to join a collaborative, internationally minded team and support students in a dynamic and engaging learning environment.
While this is initially a casual/on-call role, there is potential for continued and more regular employment as student support needs evolve.

Responsibilities
- Support students with diverse learning needs, both in and out of the classroom
- Assist teachers in implementing classroom activities and inquiry-based learning experiences
- Provide one-on-one or small group support as directed by the classroom teacher or learning support team
- Support students’ social-emotional development, self-regulation, and independence
- Help maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive learning environment
- Supervise students during recess, lunch, and transitions as required
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and administration to support student success
Qualifications
- Education Assistant certification or relevant post-secondary education is preferred
- Experience working with elementary-aged children (K–7) is an asset
- Experience supporting students with diverse learning profiles, including dyslexia, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), dyspraxia, and other learning differences, is strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Patient, flexible, and collaborative approach
- Current First Aid certification is an asset
- Clear Criminal Record Check
- Experience supporting students with emotional regulation and executive functioning needs is an asset
