THE ROLE
Reporting to the Manager of Transportation within the Facilities Division, Bus Drivers are responsible for the safe operation of a 76-passenger school bus transporting students to and from schools and extra-curricular events. Bus Drivers must perform daily vehicle safety checks, and maintain cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the vehicle. They are responsible for building rapport with students, parents and school administrators and are required to monitor student conduct on the bus.
A Bus Driver operates a school bus, which includes conducting pre / post-trip vehicle safety inspections for the safe and efficient operation of the bus in transporting students, to and from school. Drives extracurricular runs. A Bus Driver is also responsible for the interior and exterior cleanliness of the vehicle.
Work is directed by a Foreman and Management.
