Therapy Coordinator
SD46 has an opening for a continuing full-time (35 hours / week) Therapy Coordinator.
The Therapy Coordinator works with the Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist and Speech and Language Pathologist. Under their supervision, the Therapy Coordinator may carry out programs directly with students builds capacity with other support staff. The Therapy Coordinator assists district therapists in the delivery of specialized intervention programs for students by coordinating, supporting and overseeing referrals between schools and the district therapy team. This includes preparing a variety of materials and supports for implementation of therapy interventions, programming augmentative communication devices, providing specific training to students. teachers, and support workers, and providing at home support for students with complex and diverse needs. The starting wage for the position is $35.12.
Applicants must have experience in working with school aged children. Experience as a pediatric Rehabilitation Assistant is an asset.
The successful applicant must have a Rehabilitation Assistant Diploma from a registered college or university or have significant relevant coursework. A valid first aid certificate is required, and detailed knowledge of database management and spreadsheet programs would be considered an asset.
