Effective May 11th, 2026 to June 30th, 2026
The annual salary for a full-time teaching position ranges from $59,711 to $109,520, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. The salary will be prorated based on FTE.
Required Qualifications and Experience
A full-time (1.0 FTE) Social Studies 9-10, Law 12, and PHE 9/10 Girls position is available at West Vancouver Secondary School. This position replaces a teacher who is on leave.
- Appropriate qualifications and experience in teaching Social Studies and PHE
- Post-secondary coursework and/or ELL instructional certification considered an asset
- Knowledgeable in the use of Proficiency Scales for assessment
- Knowledge of the Ministry of Education Core Competencies, Big Ideas, and Learning Standards for the appropriate curricular area
- Member of the BC College of Teachers
- Commitment to and demonstrated experience using and integrating technology with the curriculum.
- An ability to use a variety of teaching and learning strategies that can accommodate the learning needs of all types of learners.
- A proven ability to develop a positive learning environment in the classroom and evidence of strong organization and classroom management skills.
- A commitment to and successful experience working collaboratively in a team setting.
