We are currently looking for a permanent full-time Ca binet Maker /Joiner to join our Facilities Services department to perform millwork, maintenance alteration and construction at the journeyperson level across the district's 53 facilities.
School District No. 38 (Richmond) requires a permanent full-time Cabinet Maker (Joiner) for the School District Carpentry department. This position will be focused on the construction of cabinets and other furniture needs throughout the school district. The district has a large well-equipped shop with the equipment and tools needed to do an outstanding job. This position will appeal to an individual who takes pride in their work, is an excellent craftsman, likes to be busy, is creative and energized by the recognition that you are building furniture that is instrumental in helping teachers and students excel in a learning environment. The s uccessful candidate for this position must be certified under the Inter-Provincial Red Seal program .

Required Qualifications:
Grade 12 or equivalent plus a BC or Interprovincial Certificate of Apprenticeship in Carpentry or equivalent apprenticeship training and a BC or Interprovincial Certificate of Qualification in Cabinet Maker-Joiner (T.Q.; Red Seal).

This is a unionized position that offers a 40-hour work week with an hourly wage of $40.75, plus a comprehensive benefit package including Municipal Pension, health, vacation, and sick benefits.
