The starting annual salary for this full-time School Teacher position ranges from $61,838 to $108,458, with placement on the July 1, 2024 Teacher Salary Grid based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
Chief Dan George Middle School is a Grade 6 to 8 school with approximately 560 students in three programs: English, Late French Immersion, and Early French Immersion. We are committed to an engaging and vibrant learning environment for all students. You will be part of a collaborative team that promotes a positive school climate.
We are seeking a full-time continuing Learning Support Services (LSS) teacher to provide support both inside and outside the classroom. You will be supporting our English students.
This position requires a B.C. teaching certificate and a major, minor, or diploma in Inclusive Education/Special Education. Candidates should have practicum or work experience in Inclusive Education, including case management.
Experience or training in social emotional learning, trauma informed practice, differentiated instruction, and the use of technology to support students is an asset. Experience or training with Level B assessments, including the Kaufman Brief Intelligence Test (KBIT) and the Kaufman Test of Educational Achievement, Third Edition (KTEA-3), is also beneficial.
