Elementary Teacher – Mountain Christian School

Mountain Christian School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary Teacher to join our school community. The successful candidate will be committed to Christian education, skilled in creating a positive and structured classroom environment, and able to build meaningful relationships with students, families, and staff.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will:

• Have a Bachelor of Education or equivalent teaching degree.
• Hold, or be eligible to hold, a valid Canadian teaching certificate.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to Christian faith and Christian education.

The Elementary Teacher will be responsible for:

• Creating thoughtful unit plans and daily lesson plans that align with curriculum expectations.
• Delivering engaging, meaningful instruction that supports student learning and growth.
• Differentiating instruction to meet the needs of a wide range of learners.
• Tracking student progress and using assessment information to guide instruction.
• Have excellent classroom management skills.
• Possess a natural ability to relate well to students and create a classroom where students feel known, supported, and encouraged.
• Be organized, professional, flexible, and willing to work as part of a collaborative school team.

The ideal candidate will be a warm, energetic, and faith-filled educator who loves children, values Christian education, and brings both structure and joy into the classroom. They will understand the importance of strong routines, clear expectations, differentiated instruction, and positive relationships in helping students grow.
