1. education degree and a Master of Counselling Psychology degree or a related discipline with a focus on counselling including a university course in level B assessments, theory, and practice;
2. a minimum of 3 years recent successful experience in school counselling including student, family, and community counselling;
3. knowledge of First Nations cultures, histories, traditions, and ways of learning;

5. knowledge of current 21st century pedagogy and assessment practices;
6. demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to the professional community at the school and district level;
7. effective communication, interpersonal, organizational and classroom management skills;
8. ability to integrate technologies and digital citizenship into educational programs; and
9. BC Professional Teaching Certificate and current eligibility for Teacher Qualification Service card.
Are you a student in your Bachelor of Education Program? Our district considers applications for postings once you have started your long practicum. In your application package provide reference contacts from your practicum school teacher sponsor and program advisor. Employment will be contingent on successful completion of your education program.

Teacher Pay is based on years of experience and TQS category (link July 2025 Salary Grid ).
