School District No. 57 (Prince George) respectfully acknowledges that our schools reside on the unceded ancestral lands of the Lheidli T’enneh people in Prince George and McBride, the McLeod Lake Indian Band in the Mackenzie region, as well as the Simpcw First Nation in Valemount.
Located in British Columbia’s interior region, School District No. 57, serves approximately 13,000 students and 2,000 staff in the communities and surrounding areas of Prince George, Mackenzie, McBride and Valemount. The ideal candidate must possess the following professional and personal skills and abilities:
Candidates must have a Master’s Degree or evidence of active post-graduate study leading to a Master’s Degree in an appropriate educational field
Candidates must have a valid B.C. Teacher Regulation Branch (TRB) Certificate and minimum of 5 years teaching and/or administrative experience. The candidate must have a successful portfolio of experiences gained through working in a variety of schools and have demonstrated experience leading learning initiatives, at a school or district level.
Compensation is determined by the BC Public School Employers Association. The salary range for Principals is $150,514 to $167,556 along with a comprehensive benefit package.
