The Catholic Independent Schools of the Vancouver Archdiocese (the CISVA) operates 46 schools – 40 elementary and 6 high schools. St. Michael’s School is seeking a 0.8 FTE K to 7 Physical and Health Education Teacher. JOB DESCRIPTION
Our Physical Education and Health (PHE) teacher is expected to plan, develop, implement, and adapt a full PHE curriculum as outlined by the BC Ministry of Education and Childcare. Teachers are expected to organize games and challenges that promote physical activity among children from Kindergarten to Grade 7, as well as to support, promote, and help organize the school's athletic extracurricular program.
The ideal candidate will have experience teaching physical education classes to children aged 5 - 12 as well as experience in coaching a variety of community sports. Candidates should have a valid BC Teaching Certificate and have excellent communication and organizational skills. Furthermore, candidates should have experience in classroom management and assessment.
