School District 57 is seeking visionary, collaborative, and student-centered leaders to join our Principal and Vice Principal Pool. Successful applicants will be considered for leadership positions in our elementary and secondary schools across the district over the next 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrated knowledge of the Ministry of Education K-12 curriculum and the Graduation Program and implementation of the current learning theory as related to instruction and assessment
• Demonstrated culturally responsive support for Indigenous learners
• Demonstrated ability to support and maintain an inclusive, equitable, safe and caring school environment through caring relationships and positive behavioural intervention supports for students
• The ability to foster a culture of caring and learning by promoting a compelling vision and shared values that support student engagement and success
• Exceptional collaboration skills to enhance student achievement through engagement with students, staff, parents, and community organizations
• Manage school operations effectively and equitably
• Aligns financial, human, and curricular resources with district and school priorities
• Models effective teaching and lead high-quality instructional practices
• Drives school vision and strategic goals to foster continuous improvement
• Supports staff growth through mentoring, coaching, and collaboration for professional growth
• Uses data to monitor student progress and refine instructional strategies

• Holds a British Columbia Teacher Regulation Branch certification
• A Master's degree in Educational Leadership or related field
• Minimum five years of successful teaching experience and demonstrated school leadership experience
• Demonstrated leadership in curriculum, assessment, and school improvement
• Exceptional collaboration skills to enhance student achievement through engagement with students, staff, parents, and community organizations
• The ability to foster strong employee relations and effective management practices within a dynamic educational and unionized environment
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills
• Self-awareness and commitment to personal growth
• Commitment to equity, inclusion, and continuous learning

The annual pay range for Vice Principals is 132,029 to139,506 Elementary and $139,506 to $146,977 Secondary.

The annual pay range for Principals is $150,514 to $159,034 Elementary and $159,034 to $167,556 Secondary.
