School: Student Services Department

Position: Speech and Language Pathologist

FTE: .80 (4 days per week)

Grade: All

Status: Temporary

Start Date: ASAP


Schedule: 4 days per week

Please note there is flexibility in the workdays, and they may be changed in consultation with the Director and the Human Resources Department.


Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • Applicant must be registered with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC (CSHHPBC)
  • Minimum 2 years experience working in the field is preferred
  • Must be eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Speech Language Pathologist and Audiologists (CASLPA) and/or British Columbia Association of Speech Language Pathologist and Audiologist ( BCASLPA)
  • Recent successful experience working with school-aged students and students with special needs (low incidence)


Job duties:

  • Comprehensive diagnostic and direct therapy to school-aged children with a variety of communication disorders
  • Act as a resource for teachers, educational assistants and parents

The starting annual salary for this position ranges from $57,972-$106,217, with placement on the range based on length of service, FTE and qualifications in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
