Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and flexible Multi-Grade, Multi-Subject High School Teacher to join our team. This role involves teaching across multiple grades (K-9) and subjects, fostering an engaging classroom experience tailored to diverse learning needs. This role is one and a half days per week (approximately 0.3 FTE), with scheduled hours to be confirmed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver lessons across multiple subjects and grade levels, aligned with the BC curriculum.
- Differentiate instruction to meet a wide range of learning styles and abilities.
- Create a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Assess, record, and report student progress.
- Collaborate with staff, parents, and the community to support student learning.
- Participate in school-wide activities, events, and professional development.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor of Education or equivalent.
- Eligibility for a valid BC Teaching Certificate
- 2nd language skills
Preferred:
- Experience teaching in a multi-grade setting.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Commitment to fostering student engagement, creativity, and resilience.
