Crescent Heights Academy is an independent day school located in Surrey, BC. With 672 students from K-12 in 2025, our population will grow to 720 students in the following few years. Our aim is to provide students with an inclusive community, a challenging academic education with a focus on our students' character, emphasizing critical and compassionate thinking and a life-long love of learning. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsible for assisting learners with learning challenges and supporting their programme
Understands the Primary Years Programme ideology (IB World School)
Provide support for learning activities and differentiation
Liaise with relevant professionals on goals, programs and strategies to be used to support learning
Supports and takes direction from the classroom teacher
Assist in collaborative planning with homeroom teachers and IB Coordinator to provide differentiation and support to all learners
Qualifications and Experience
Completion of Education Assistant program (diploma or certificate)
First Aid Training
Full Criminal Record Clearance, endorsement to work with children
Experience in primary years education is an asset
Confident and firm in expectations, demonstrates initiative and
Experience in inquiry-based learning is an asset
