Are you looking to get out of the glare of city lights and enjoy the aurora borealis, plus teach at the best little school in the north, then you may be interested in being the teacher at Toad River School in northeast British Columbia which offers a beautiful, relaxed setting in a small but mighty friendly community.
Toad River School is projected to enroll three students in the coming school year, with one student each in Grades 1, 10, and 11. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong individualized planning and organizational skills, maintain consistently high expectations for student learning, and bring a creative, community-minded approach to their practice. Applicants should be enthusiastic about working in a multigrade setting and possess skills that align with best practices in inclusive education. The successful applicant will be capable of effectively supporting secondary-level courses, including mathematics and science (with Proactive curriculum packages provided), as well as primary-level programming, through purposeful, student-centered instructional approaches.
The starting annual salary for this Teacher position ranges from $68,492 to $118,751 with the placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.

Qualifications:
Successful Classroom teaching experience
Knowledge of and willingness to use, current best practices in education.
Familiarity with BC Curriculum
A strong team orientation.
Excellent planning and organization skills.
A desire to grow professionally.
Clear Criminal Record Check.
