Teaching Position – Prep and Indigenous Support Teacher
School District No. 10 – Arrow Lakes, in the beautiful West Kootenay region of southeastern BC, is situated on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Sinixt, Sylix, Ktunaxa, and Secwepemc Peoples. We have the following temporary contract teaching opportunity for the 2026-2027 school year:
Position: Prep (0.7 FTE) and Indigenous Support (0.3 FTE) Teacher
School: Nakusp Elementary School
FTE: 1.0 FTE Temporary Contract
Effective: September 8, 2026 – June 30, 2027
Salary Range: $67,040 - $119,548

Assignment / Schedule
This position provides targeted support to Indigenous learners through one-on-one and small-group activities. Responsibilities include participating in the District Indigenous Support Committee and providing preparation time coverage for primary and intermediate classroom teachers in Physical Education, Music, and/or other curricular areas.
