FACILITIES SUMMER INTERN ( Temporary , FULL -TIME ).

This is a seasonal, full-time position commencing immediately and concluding in mid to late August.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Supporting the Director of Facilities, this role ensures the Southridge campus remains safe, functional, and welcoming. You will play a dual role in operational success: serving as a key lead for summer camp traffic and parking management while providing essential maintenance support for building interiors and grounds. By identifying facility needs and executing routine repairs, this position is foundational to maintaining a high-standard environment for our campers, students, and staff.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Report any facilities and security issues to Director of Facilities and/or Facilities Coordinator
  • Assist with traffic management for summer camp pick-up and drop off
  • Support the summer camp program as the first point of contact for cleaning and facility related needs
  • Assist facilities with general maintenance when not performing traffic duties
  • Continual monitoring of buildings and grounds conditions to identify areas that require attention or may affect the safety of the campers, students and staff
  • Bring maintenance related items to the attention of the Director of Facilities or Facilities Coordinator for prioritizing
  • Pick-up and deliver supplies using school vehicles
  • Assist in maintaining supplies for repairs to maintenance of buildings systems needs and keeping facilities shop organized
  • Assist with School function set-ups and events as directed
  • Assist with grounds general maintenance and landscaping tasks as directed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment
  • Able to work collaboratively with minimum supervision and function well as part of a team
  • Observant and aware of what is happening in and around the campus
  • Personable and professional manner when representing the school to parents, students, staff and outside contractors and suppliers
  • Reliable and dependable
  • Flexibility and willingness to work extra time for major school events if needed
  • Able to lift 20lbs.

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $20.00 to $23.00 an hour. To ensure the safety and well-being of our community, preferred candidates will need to complete a satisfactory Criminal Records Check.
