Special Counsellor
School District #46 is looking for a continuing part-time (21 hours/week) Special Counsellor to work in Sunshine Coast Alternative School programs, effective immediately. The main duties are to provide therapeutic counselling to secondary students including concerns around complex trauma, abuse, suicide, drugs and alcohol abuse. This position works as part of the SCAS Engagement team, providing support in various programs and requires travel between program sites, community and home visits. The successful applicant must have a Master's Degree in Counselling, and a minimum of 4 years' experience working with adolescent children. Experience working with students in integrated settings and working with multidisciplinary teams would be considered an asset.
