Human Resources Assistant

In this role, you will provide day-to-day staff support, assist with wellness initiatives, and help maintain our safety programs to ensure employees feel valued and cared for. You will work collaboratively with employees, supervisors, and the HR team to strengthen communication and foster a culture of respect and trust. Your Education, Skills and Experience

  • A relevant 2-year post-secondary diploma or certificate combined with 5 years of HR experience, ideally in multi-union public sector.
  • Knowledgeable with Human Rights code, Employment standards Act and Workers' Compensation Act
  • Demonstrated ability to compose a variety of documents of confidential and complex nature using superior research skills including HR statistical reports
  • A strong capacity to manage ever-changing priorities and high-volume workload.

Assignment:  Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Location:  District Administration Office

Wage:  $33.18 per/hr. supported by a competitive benefit package and municipal pension plan
