St. Francis Xavier is a thriving Catholic elementary double-streamed school located in Vancouver close to downtown and transit.

In addition to the curriculum stipulated by the British Columbia Ministry of Education, we have a unique component in our program – Chinese as a subject. JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a dedicated educator for our primary grades (K – Grade 3) for 2026-2027. Interested applicants must have a strong commitment to the Catholic faith and demonstrate competency with the BC curriculum. Candidates will have experience in teaching a primary grade, effective classroom management and the ability to work with students of varying abilities and needs. Collaboration skills are also of high priority. As a double-streamed school, we expect our teachers to work collaboratively with the other teacher of the same grade. The successful candidate will assist with extra-curricular programs and activities.

On an on-going basis, we accept teacher applications for grade levels K to 12 for our Catholic schools throughout the Greater Vancouver Area and Powell River in beautiful British Columbia. All Catholics, non-Catholics, new education grads, and experienced teachers from across Canada are strongly encouraged to apply.
