Cariboo-Chilcotin School District is one of the largest employers in the Cariboo-Chilcotin Region with over 850 employees, serving approximately 4500 students from kindergarten to Grade 12 in 22 schools. The School District is in a vast, spectacular geographic region of the province and is on the traditional and unceded territories of the Secwépemc, Tsilhqot'in, and Dakelh First Nations. Forest Grove Elementary services approximately 80 students in the South Cariboo region.

Forest Grove serves as the gateway to the greater lake district of the South Cariboo, with easy access to Canim, Ruth and Hendrix Lakes.
