Under the general direction of the School Principal or designate, the Concession Worker prepares, heats and cooks simple food items, serves students at food counters, supervises volunteers and is responsible for cash handling and calculating cost of supplies.
The Concession Worker is also responsible for clearing tables, cleaning and sanitizing kitchen/concession areas, washing dishes, and performing other duties as assigned.
This internal position is a backfill position for employees who are absent.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Grade 12 diploma, or equivalent, supplemented by a Food Safe Certificate; a Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate or ability to obtain; Occupational 1st Aid level 1, or Emergency 1st Aid, or ability to obtain. A minimum of 6 recent experience working in a concession or kitchen setting. A valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License.
