There is an exciting opportunity within the Vancouver School Board to work within one of the largest school districts in BC, providing strategic human resource and labour relations leadership to contribute to the goals and objectives within the District’s Education Plan. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Associate Superintendent, Employee Relations will create and implement a long-term vision reflective of the strategic importance of human resource practices in a diverse and dynamic District, specifically with a focus on student achievement, well-being and belonging, equity and Reconciliation.
The Associate Superintendent, Employee Services will work to support and empower the District’s staffing, recruitment, labour relations, health and safety, wellness, payroll and benefits teams towards actualizing the goals and objectives of the Vancouver School Board’s Education Plan. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of building relationships that enable a dedicated team of Employee Services professionals as well as collaborating with a variety of associations, community members, employee groups and unions. Transparent communication and inclusive decision making are the hallmarks of the chosen candidate’s leadership style, as is an ability to effectively manage changing conditions and emerging issues.
