POSITION: Elementary Primary Teacher - temporary
ASSIGNMENT: Grade 1
FTE: 1.0
LOCATION: Voyageur Elementary School
EFFECTIVE DATES: Commencing September 1, 2025 until June 30, 2026 or earlier, depending on the return of the incumbent.
Basic Qualifications: A successful candidate will hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate and be a member in good standing in the BC Ministry of Education, Teacher Regulation Branch AND possess one or more of the following:
Training Specialization: Elementary Education with specialization at the Primary level
Related Teaching Experience: Recent successful experience teaching at the Primary level
A Reasonable Expectation: based on a teacher's skills, abilities, professional development, and overall classroom teaching experience, that the teacher will be able to perform the duties in a successful manner in collaboration with other professional staff.

- Willingness to work as part of the school-based team to implement plans for the success of all students
- Willingness to support the school plan for student success
- Participation in school wide SEL teaching and learning of regulation strategies. Our focus is on Social Emotional regulation and belonging. Willingness to be part of the team as we navigate school wide program and practices to enhance students understanding of self-regulation.
The starting annual salary for the full-time Teacher ranges from $61,175 to $109,520 with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. We also offer a competitive benefits package and pension.
