ELL TEACHER
Part-time (0.4 FTE) position
Irwin Park Elementary Schools
Effective September 5, 2023 until June 30, 2024
Required Qualifications and Experience
The successful applicant will have the following qualifications and experience:
- A certificate of qualification from the Teacher Regulation Branch
- Demonstrated experience and qualifications as outlined by the Ministry of Education English Language Learning Policy and Guidelines
- University level coursework (300-400 level) in applied linguistics for English Language Learners and/or teaching certification for teaching ELL
- Demonstrated success in adapting instruction to meet the diverse language needs of students
- Demonstrated success in working collaboratively with classroom teachers and specialists
- Current knowledge of best practices for supporting ELL learners in the classroom
* This District ELL position will be assigned to Irwin Park; however, ELL positions are district-based positions and the location may be changed subject to operational and student needs.
