Teacher Counsellor - Elementary

POSITION: Counsellor

ASSIGNMENT: Elementary Counsellor (K-7)

FTE: 1.0

LOCATION: District Administration Office

EFFECTIVE DATES: Commencing September 1, 2023 and continuing

Basic Qualifications: A successful candidate will hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate and be a member in good standing in the BC Ministry of Education, Teacher Regulation Branch AND possess one or more of the following:

Training Specialization: Secondary Education with a Master's Degree in Counselling

Related Teaching Experience: Recent successful experience as an Elementary School Counsellor

A Reasonable Expectation: based on a teacher's skills, abilities, professional development, and overall classroom teaching experience, that the teacher will be able to perform the duties in a successful manner in collaboration with other professional staff.

Additional Qualifications: Master's Degree in Counselling

The starting annual salary for this full-time Counsellor, Elementary Counsellor (K-7) ranges from $59,394 to $106,217, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. We also offer a competitive benefits package and pension.
