Nanaimo Ladysmith Public Schools is seeking a passionate and committed professional to join our team as Payroll & Benefits Specialist . Assignment: Full time, 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday. Hours are 8:00am - 4:00pm, onsite at our District Administrative Centre.
Wage : $34.87 per hour with an excellent benefit and pension package.
Your Work
Under the general direction of the Manager of Payroll and Benefits; the Payroll Specialist performs a variety of duties in accordance with legislation, collective agreements, and employment contracts as well as established practice and procedures in both payroll and general accounting. The Payroll and Benefits department is responsible for administering payroll and benefits to a large number of multi-union and non-union employee groups, along with their dependents and beneficiaries.
