School District 10 (Arrow Lakes) has the following temporary contract teaching position effective the 2024-2025 school year.
School: Itinerant Position: Learning Technologies Support Teacher
FTE: 0.60 Temporary Contract
Salary Range: $62,578 - $111,592
Effective: September 3, 2024 – June 30, 2025
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and creative educator and have a great team of principals/vice principals, teachers, support staff, parents, students, and community for you to work alongside. Required characteristics and strengths include:
a) A major or minor in learning technologies or computer science at the university level
b) Experience in teaching learning technologies in classrooms for all grade levels
c) Demonstrated exemplary skills and experience implementing technology and building capacity in the use of technology to support learning, teaching and assessment
d) Exemplary use of assessment for learning strategies that engage and foster learning
e) Excellent classroom management skills and proven ability to engage all learners with the ability to differentiate for all learners
f) Successful experience integrating socio-emotional learning, self-regulated learning, in the classroom and beyond
g) Strong interpersonal skills and strengths working in a team environment with experience in co-planning and co-teaching
h) Demonstrated understanding of Indigenous cultures and experience integrating First Peoples Principles of Learning into teaching practice
i) Commitment to implementing the School Growth Plan
j) Commitment and expertise in building relationships with parents and community
k) Embodiment of lifelong learning, and demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional growth
l) Willingness to participate in the school's extra-curricular programs will be an asset
