Pacific Academy is seeking trained applicants interested in joining our school team to provide support for students.
Qualifications :
- Education Assistant certificate
- Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, Behaviour Disorders an asset
- Criminal Record Check
- Understanding of and commitment to Christian Education
- Actively and personally support a Pentecostal/Charismatic statement of faith
- Friendly, flexible, self-motivated, team player
- Fluent in oral and written English
Responsibilities may include :
- Provide support to students within the regular classroom and the Learning Support Centre
- Assisting with the implementation of IEP and Support Plans under the direction of the Learning Support Coordinator
- Working as part of a team of Education Assistants under the direction of the Learning Support Coordinator
- Assist students during emotional outbursts using non-violent crisis intervention strategies
