School District No. 22 (Vernon, B.C.) is currently accepting applications for dedicated and enthusiastic professional educators for teacher teaching on call positions in all subject areas.
Applicants must:
• possess a British Columbia Professional Teaching Certificate or be in the process of applying for one that will be effective immediately.
• be prepared to work positively towards the fulfillment of the School and District Strategic Plan and be prepared to work in a collaborative/team environment;
• be prepared to use technology (e.g.: computers, Smartboards, voice-mail, e-mail, web sites, MyEd BC) for planning, attendance monitoring, communication, classroom instruction and reporting purposes; and be prepared to support the school and district goals.
While all applicants will be considered, preference will be given to qualified applicants who self-declare Indigenous ancestry.
The daily rate for a teacher teaching on call ranges from $308.29/day to a maximum of $457.51/day, with placement based on experience and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
