1.0 FTE Continuing full-time Nle’kepmxcin (Thompson) Language Instructor, beginning September 1, 2024.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Be a fluent speaker of the Nłeʔkepmxcin Language.
- Possess a First Nations Language teacher certificate for Nłeʔkepmxcin or be eligible for this certificate.
- Knowledge and understanding of Nłeʔkepmx and/or Syilx culture.
- Training and experience working with grade-level students.
- Experience with adapting materials, resources, assessments and learning outcomes for student needs.
- Valid BC Teaching certificate or eligible for Letter of Permission.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- A commitment to supporting a variety of learning needs.
- Experience/training in supporting the social-emotional learning needs of students.
- A commitment to establishing and maintaining positive relationships with students, staff and parents.
- A commitment to working as a member of a school team in support of students.
Moving Allowance Support : $1500.00 for teachers within BC and $2000.00 within Canada.

The starting annual salary for this full-time teacher position ranges from $58,340 - $106,217, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
