Surrey Schools is seeking to fill vacancies on our Facilities Maintenance team!
Reporting to the Manager of Structural/Plumbing Maintenance, this position will be responsible for providing technical and building information support to ensure maintenance program and projects adhere to applicable codes, by-laws & regulations. This position develops, plans, organizes, and schedules maintenance and other renovation projects. This position communicates between internal and external consultants/contractors/suppliers to ensure the successful completion of assigned projects and as such the ideal candidates must have exceptional communication skills both written and verbal. Success in this position requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet multiple deadlines as well as respond to time-oriented emergencies. The Technologist role requires thorough knowledge of computer applications and software applications related to the role.

These are unionized positions that offer an hourly wage rate of $39.65 per hour plus benefits package: municipal pension, health, vacation & sick benefits. Expected additional increase to hourly rate in July 2024, as per new collective bargaining agreement.
