We are welcoming applications for the Occupational Therapist position at School District 46. This full-time (35 hours/week) itinerant position works closely with the team at Inclusion Support Services. Compensation is currently $50.68 - $50.93/hour.

The main duties are to provide consultative services to students as assigned, from K-12. This includes providing assessments, recommendations to staff and families, determination of equipment needs, training of staff, and liaising with external professionals and agencies as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of B.C.
  • Experience working with student-aged children, especially those with multiple physical challenges
  • Experience working with children in integrated settings and working with multidisciplinary teams would be considered an asset

  • Ability to liaise between school staff, divisional staff and outside agencies

  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • Ability to work as a member of a team and maintain a positive work environment
