Fort Rupert Elementary School, Port Hardy, B.C.
0.40 FTE Temporary K/1 Teacher
Commencing ASAP to June 30, 2022 or return of the incumbent whichever comes first.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- recent and successful primary classroom experience;
- strong classroom management skills;
- the ability and energy to work with multi-age groups and meet the needs of students with a range of learning styles and abilities using a variety of teaching strategies;
- the ability to work closely with staff in a team oriented approach to teaching and learning;
- strong interpersonal, communication and collaborative skills to communicate with students, staff and parents;
- strong formative assessment practices;
- experience with RTI (Response to Intervention) systems;
- ability to integrate technology to enhance student learning;
- strong interest in innovation and inquiry;
- ability to embed local Indigenous culture and ways of knowing into teaching practices.
