Surrey Schools, a recipient of the BC Top Employers and Canada's Greenest Employer awards, is currently seeking a motivated individual for the Manager of Mechanical Department role at the District Facilities Centre. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Facilities, the Mechanical Department Manager is responsible for planning, managing and providing oversight for the Mechanical/HVAC Department including renovations, maintenance, installations and projects across 140 District sites. This key management role works closely with other District departments and outside agencies, provides exceptional leadership to the Mechanical Department staff and acts in the capacity of the mechanical expert for District projects and initiatives.

As the leader of the District’s high performing Mechanical Department the ideal candidate would spend a considerable amount of time with project management, plan reviews, and handling complex technical issues. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with exceptional people skills and the ability to provide exceptional client care to both our District staff and external stakeholders.  A Red Seal qualification in a related mechanical trade and/or comparable education/experience would be an asset.
