1.0 FTE position in the area of Speech and Language Pathologist.

This is a temporary contract position.

This position is effective November 14, 2022 or earlier and will continue until June 30, 2023 or upon the return of the incumbent, whichever comes first.

Applications are invited from qualified individuals.  Application packages must contain a current resume with 3 professional references.  Either membership or eligibility for membership in the Canadian Association of Speech-Language Pathologist and Audiologists and BC Association of Speech-Language Pathologists & Audiologists is required.
 
Qualifications:
Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Experience working in a school setting
Experience with augmentative communication systems, integrating technology in a school setting, Apraxia of speech and emergent literacy skills.
 
Duties:  This position involves provision of speech and language services to schools for children in Kindergarten through to Grade 10. The successful candidate will work as part of a school based team and be involved in all aspects of the speech and language process, including screenings, initial and continuing evaluations, assessment and progress reports, development of student IEP's and delivery of intervention services.  The year-end focus will be on screening and initial evaluation of students on the current assessment wait list.
