Systems Technologist
School District #46 is looking for a collaborative and enthusiastic Systems Technologist to join our Technology team. This continuing, full-time (40.0 hours/week) position would start immediately to provide support throughout the entire district to install, repair and maintain the networks, computers, and audio-visual equipment in schools and other district facilities. Our District primarily uses Apple devices and software. The technician also performs the following main duties:
- Repairs and maintains computer equipment by troubleshooting software, hardware, and network problems and providing assistance to staff.
- Installs and maintains the server environment used in the school district.
- Designs, installs, and maintains ethernet and wireless networks.
- Researches products and makes recommendations for the purchase or disposal of computers and other equipment and software.
- Transports and loads/unloads equipment as required.

The successful applicant must have completed a two-year Diploma of Technology program from an accredited institution, or have the equivalent in coursework and experience; a minimum of 3 years’ experience; AppleCare Technician training or Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator training; a valid Class 5 BC driver's license; and the physical capability to perform job duties. Low Energy Systems (LO) FSR certification would be an asset.
