TEMPORARY EDUCATION ASSISTANT - MERRITT SECONDARY SCHOOL

At this time, we invite applications for the position of:  Temporary Education Assistant - Merritt Secondary School

The successful candidate will work with students with exceptionalities, youth with learning disabilities, those on modified alternate programs, using sound judgement in dealing with a variety of situations under the general supervision of the classroom and support services teacher(s). 

To confirm required skills and ability, shortlisted applicants will undergo an academic assessment in the following areas: 

Preference will be given to those candidates successful in all of the above areas. 

Position Duties and Responsibilities

Qualifications and Attributes:

This temporary position is 5.5 hours per day on school days only. (The exact timing of the hours will be determined by school the school administrator) starting immediately up until June 29, 2023. Salary and benefits will be in accordance with the C.U.P.E. Local 847 Collective Agreement.
