School District No. 51 (Boundary) is currently looking to fill the position of On-Call Repairperson/Maintenance, effective date of appointment.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Operations. 

Duties to be performed are as follows:

• Perform semi-skilled maintenance to buildings, grounds and equipment
• Assist other maintenance personnel as required
• Perform Bus Driver duties when assigned
• Replace Grounds person as required
• Pick-up and delivery of buses and maintenance vehicles
• Repair and maintain equipment, tools and inventory
• Repair and maintain custodial equipment
• Responsible for snow removal
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Must have the following Qualifications:

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• 2 years of skilled maintenance and construction experience
• Valid Class 1 or 2 driver’s license with air brake endorsement
• Demonstrates the ability and knowledge to repair custodial equipment
• WHMIS Certificate
• Physical ability to perform the job duties
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to work cooperatively with the public, staff and suppliers
• Ability to work independently.

The salary for this position will be in accordance with the Collective Agreement presently in effect between the Board and CUPE Local 2098.
