TEMPORARY EDUCATION ASSISTANT - MERRITT CENTRAL ELEMENTARY

At this time, we invite applications for the position of: Temporary Education Assistant - Merritt Central Elementary

The successful candidate will work with students with exceptionalities, youth with learning disabilities, those on modified alternate programs, using sound judgement in dealing with a variety of situations under  the general supervision of the classroom and support services teacher(s). 

To confirm required skills and ability, shortlisted applicants will undergo an academic assessment in the following areas: 

Preference will be given to those candidates successful in all of the above areas. 

Position Duties and Responsibilities

Qualifications and Attributes:

This position is 5.5 hours per day on school days only. (The exact timing of the hours will be determined by school the school administrator) from Sept 6, 2022 to June 29, 2023 (or the return of the incumbent). Salary and benefits will be in accordance with the C.U.P.E. Local 847 Collective Agreement.
