Homestay Coordinator (GOLDEN)
The International Student Program Homestay Coordinator (contract position) reports directly to the Director, International Education or Program Coordinator designate. The primary responsibilities include:
- Work closely with Program Coordinators and Director, International Education
- Recruit and support host families for international students;
- Coordinate and supervise a wide variety of extra-curricular activities, events, and trips;
- Meet and/or communicate with international students, school administrators, teaching staff, and host parents on a regular basis;
- Communicate with District staff and educational agents in the students’ home countries and support program disciplinary processes;
- Process and manage student and host family information and documentation;
- Be on-call to provide student advice/support and to attend to emergency situations;
- Perform other related duties as needed or assigned.
Experience: the successful candidate must have:
- Experience working with an international student program, and/or living and working abroad
- Experience living and working with high school-aged students
- Experience organizing/supervising activities and events

Qualification:
- Must have completion of 12th school grade
- Hold a valid BC Driver’s license (Class 5)
- Own a reliable vehicle suitable for transporting students if/when needed;
- Have or be willing to obtain Occupational First Aid (Level 1)
- Flexibility in working hours and locations
- Must be able and willing to work evenings/weekends as needed
