(ICT) Operations Manager
A
management role overseeing the district's ICT projects and day-to-day operations,
ensuring that staff are efficiently and effectively supported at every district
site.

The Role
As a central member of the district's ICT
department, the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Operations Manager's role
is wide-ranging, involving collaboration and project work with colleagues in
the ICT department, schools and other district sites.
The primary responsibility of the ICT Operations
Manager is to ensure that the district's service request system is serving the
needs of technicians and end-users. The role involves delegating daily service
requests to ICT technicians and field support staff while balancing the
distribution of work according to the end user's needs and the department's priorities.
The incumbent will work collaboratively with the Director
of ICT, Infrastructure Manager and Application Support Coordinator on ICT
planning, operations, reviews, and new technology roll-outs, including
developing technology plans for school principals, managers and directors.
The successful candidate has at least five years of
experience managing ICT operational assignments and projects, superior interpersonal
and presentation skills, and demonstrated knowledge of networking and
telecommunications principles.
Desirable Training and
Experience

MCP, MCSA or MCSE; ITSM or ITIL Training or
certification; Project Management Training or certification.

Familiarity with Apple and Microsoft Windows
environments, computers and related electronic equipment.

Management experience in a union environment.
Required Licenses,
Certificates and Registrations

Completion of a two-year diploma program in
computer systems technology.

Three years of related or equivalent experience as
a computer system technician.

Valid Drivers License for the Province of British
Columbia.
