THE ROLE

Supervising elementary and secondary students on the school grounds and in the school, you will be trusted to maintain order and safety, and to assist students to resolve conflicts in a positive manner. As part of these responsibilities, you may also be called on to administer first aid and maintain an awareness of student medical alerts.  In addition, you will use computers and assist with the smooth running of a school office.  Duties include:  general office functions, receptionist, customer service, data entry, document editing, supplies inventory management, record keeping and library support.

WHAT WE REQUIRE

In addition to your knowledge of methods to positively regulate behaviour using behaviour management and conflict resolution techniques, you have intermediate to advanced knowledge of office procedures and general school operations.  Ideally, you have six months experience working in office administration, clerical positions, customer service and basic first aid. 

This is a casual/on-call, unionized position. 

- Elementary School Supervision Aides work 3.1 hours/day (max. 15.5 hours/week) 

- Secondary School Supervision Aides work 4.1 hours/day (max. 20.5/week)

The current rate of pay is $24.06 per hour, plus 14% in lieu of benefits..
