THE ROLE

The Learning Services Teacher will assist with case management of high and low incidence students with learning and behaviour goals while working collaboratively with additional LST on staff.  Working collaboratively with classroom teachers to develop instructional and assessment strategies to meet the learning needs of students is also a requirement of the assignment.  A demonstrated ability to develop Individualized Education Plans for students is also required.

Ross Road Elementary School is dual track school offering both English and French Immersion. Our school goals include intentionally and purposefully integrating Indigenous content, knowledge and worldviews and fostering a culture of kindness and inclusiveness. We use Second Step as a school-wide program to teach social-emotional learning and positive mental health practices. The successful applicant will work in collaboration with the learning services team, administration, classroom teachers and Educational Assistants.
