1. education degree and an inclusive education certificate or 5 upper-level courses (must include a Level B Assessment course) plus upper level coursework in English Language Learning (ELL);
2. recent successful classroom teaching experience in adapting curriculum;
3. ability to lead in the development, implementation, and evaluation of Individual Education Plans;
4. ability to select and adapt curriculum, programs and instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students;
5. ability to model, teach and foster social, emotional and cultural awareness;
6. knowledge of current 21st century pedagogy and assessment practices;
7. demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to the professional community at the school and district level;
8. effective communication, interpersonal, organizational and classroom management skills;
9. ability to integrate technologies and digital citizenship into educational programs; and
10. BC Professional Teaching Certificate and current eligibility for Teacher Qualification Service card.
