Sunrise Waldorf School is seeking an experienced and dynamic 5th-8th grade woodworking teacher to join our dedicated faculty beginning 2022-2023. The position requires authentic warmth, good humour, joy, and enthusiasm for working with children. The ideal candidate must also have familiarity or interest in best practices of Waldorf education.

The woodworking teacher will be able to work collaboratively to schedule, plan and assess developmentally appropriate projects, with an understanding that students within a given class will make progress on their work at varying rates. The ideal candidate will have completed Waldorf training and have teaching experience in a Waldorf school, as well as a history of strong classroom management and assessment along with the ability to maintain professional relationships with parents, faculty and staff.

This is a part-time position compensated hourly or as a salaried position depending on the suitability and availability of the candidate. Days of work could range from 3-5 days per week.
