SIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETER
PERMANENT FULL-TIME (SCHOOL TERM)
The Burnaby School District is currently recruiting for a permanent full-time Sign Language Interpreter to work at the BC School for the Deaf (BCSD).
Rate of Pay: $31.28/Hour
Benefits: Extended Health and Dental paid by the Employer

Hours of Work: 35 Hours/Week
Duties:
This position will facilitate communication between deaf, hard of hearing and hearing students and staff by providing interpreting services in school and community settings.
Qualifications:
Completion of an interpreter training program; possess fluency in American Sign Language; active WAVLI membership status; and two-year related interpreting experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience working in an educational setting is considered an asset.
