Summary of Duties:
Reporting to the Manager of Finance, the Accounting-District position performs a variety of accounting functions in support of the finance department for the School District including Year End procedures/ reconciliations as they apply to Accounts Payable, Receivable and General Ledger; spreadsheets and reports for financial status; Accounts Receivable and Payable processing and sub-ledger reconciliation; and bank deposits.

Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Grade 12 Graduation
- Completion of 2 years of post-secondary education in accounting or bookkeeping
- Previous experience with accounting or bookkeeping
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills
- Working knowledge of office procedures and standard office equipment including Windows based office computer systems and software
- Ability to use judgement and tact in providing information
- Ability to meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision
- Minimum keyboarding speed of 40 wpm
- Or an equivalent combination of training and experience
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
- Knowledge of School District administrative software
- Knowledge of School District operations
- Previous experience with computerized accounting systems in a School District
- Valid BC Drivers License
