Located in BC’s interior region, SD57 includes the city of Prince George and extends north to Mackenzie, south to Hixon, and east to McBride and Valemount. The region enjoys stunning geography, affordable housing, outstanding recreational facilities, a vibrant arts scene, complete range of urban services, including a regional teaching hospital and an international airport. Prince George is a multi-cultural city and a post-secondary educational destination with the University of Northern BC and the College of New Caledonia located within the city. It has a student population of approximately 13 286 in a variety of educational programs and employs a staff of 1900. SD 57 acknowledges that it is situated on the traditional territory of the Lheidli T’enneh people in Prince George and McBride, the McLeod Lake Indian Band in the Mackenzie region, as well as the Simpcw First Nation in Valemount.
The Position(s): Our district is seeking BC-certified teachers (or be in the process of) for a 1.0 Continuing and Limited Duration Contract positions:
* Elementary Schools-1.0C and 1.0LD-Gr. 4-7 (to be determined)
In addition to your professional teaching certificate, you are skilled in leveraging technology to enhance learning, possess superior interpersonal, communication, problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities and have experience working with students of Aboriginal and multicultural backgrounds.
